When pastors are appointed in The United Methodist Church, they agree to be in an itinerant system, appointed wherever their bishop believes their gifts might best be used for the mission and ministry of The United Methodist Church. Rev. Snyder has served here faithfully. He has shared God's love with us, and the community.
In consultation with our district superintendent, effective July 1, 2023 Bishop Malone will appoint Rev. JP Snyder as pastor of Utica, Brandon, and Lock Federated UMCs in the Three Rivers District. We have been blessed by Rev. Snyder’s leadership and know that he will be a blessing in his new appointment as well. He will be missed, but trust that the Holy Spirit is at work in the process.
Our district superintendent will work with us and Bishop Malone and cabinet to discern who the next associate pastor will be. We will bring you another announcement when our new pastor is appointed. Please pray for Pastor JP, Jocelyn, and the family as they move through the many changes soon to come. Please hold the bishop, the cabinet, and our church leadership in prayer as we prepare the way for a new pastoral leader. Please pray for our church to be faithful to God’s will and work through this time of transition.

Recognition of Pastor J.P. Snyder’s ministry at CFUMC

In lieu of gifts, please give toward a love offering – cards may be dropped off to the office or brought with you on June 11. Checks should be made out to James Snyder not the church. Pastor JP begins his new appointment at Utica, Brandon & Lock Federated UM Churches in July.
