rev. Kimberly arbaugh

Lead Pastor

Rev. Kimberly Arbaugh was appointed to Carrollton First UMC in the Ohio Valley District in July 2014 with the assignment of starting a third worship service. That service, now called The Bridge, was launched officially in May 2015 as the satellite campus of Carrollton First UMC and meets in a livestock facility (the hog barn) at the local county fairgrounds. Through the movement of the Holy Spirit the Bridge welcomes new visitors weekly and works to disciple them in a life of Christ.

Kimberly serves on the East Ohio Conference Board of Ministry, serves as Chair of the Order of Elders for the East Ohio Conference and is Chair of the Ohio Valley District Committee on Ministry. In 2011 she was the Ohio Valley District Pastor of the Year and was ordained as a full-elder in the United Methodist Church in June 2016. Her previous appointment was to a two-point charge of Harsh Memorial and Kilgore United Methodist Churches.

Before entering full-time ministry Kimberly served as a director of a nature center with the local soil and water conservation district. Kimberly holds a M.Div. from Ashland Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry Program at Regent University in Virginia Beach. She is married to her high school
sweetheart Douglas, and they have two children Paige and Phillip. When not busy with the work of the church and the activities of her children she enjoys spending time on the family farm working with their horses

rev. James p. snyder (JP)

Associate Pastor

Hi.  I am Pastor J.P. Snyder.  I graduated from Kent State University in 2013 and then from Ashland Theological Seminary with my MDiv in 2017.  Although vocational ministry was not the original plan, it was clearly God's calling.  I love caring for the community of believers, teaching the Bible, and empowering and equipping people through discipleship to share the good news in their everyday lives.  One of my greatest joys is my family, my wife Jocelyn and our two children.  I love recreation, particularly cycling.  I also love to tinker on cars and bikes (hopefully doing more good than harm) and rough woodworking.

Hi, I'm Autumn! I take care of all things marketing, communications, and graphic design for Carrollton First UMC. I manage our social media accounts and our website! If you send us a Facebook message, I'm on the other end ready to greet you. 😊 I grew up in Carrollton and actually led worship at The Bridge before heading to Ohio University to earn my BBA in Marketing (Go Bobcats!) Upon graduation, I came back to Carrollton First UMC to join as the Director of Communications.

I'm blessed to be married to my wonderful husband, Noah and we have one sweet son named Luca.

molly winters

Chancel Choir Director

Music of many different kinds has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember, especially when it is a part of worship. Instrumental and vocal groups are a wonderful experience for me whether I'm participating or listening. I have led groups of many types and ages and have been the interim Chancel Choir director at Carrollton First UMC for 25 years.

John schaffer

Worship Leader: The Bridge

John sings, plays guitar, harmonica, and is one of the few people that still plays CDs!  He especially enjoys playing in the Bridge Band, and leading others in worship. He recently retired from his career as an addictions therapist, and spends much of his time working on special projects at home, and hanging with his dog, Motley.
